6HRS

Cement, PhotoTex

6HRS is a performative work in which the artist explores the every day nuances of repositioning the body. Sitting in a two foot by two foot bed of cement the body is repositioned over the course of an hour- the time it takes for cement to cure. The female form molds and imprints onto the cement as opposing the tradition of male artists carving a woman out of stone.
